I read a lot of local reviews for bars and restaurants here in Valencia and I don't think any of them have been written by Jay Rayner. For the most part, the reviews bear very little resemblance to reality.
What follows is a list of my favourite places: some of which are staffed by people who have become friends; and the only money that has changed hands has been for the delicious food I've eaten.
